Hello everyone [GM] Jordz0005 here, i would like to know what items you would all like to see in the game, we currently have hats, pendents and all the basics, as well as a few extras so tell us a concept for an item: such as "A sword that's flaming but the fire is ice cold" or something like that, just a bit of a concept to us so we might be able to put it into the game, so think up your concepts, and they might just get into the game as its currently being developed.

I Have One Currently. Is A Mini Black Wolf Pet Allowed?I Hope So! Oh And Here Are Some More!
1. A Blue Flame Sword
2. A Blue Flame Arrow And bow.
3. A Special Quiver That Is Extemely Rare To Get And It Holds Extroadinary Arrows That Can Obliterate A Nearby Area. (Caution Highly Explosive)

may i suggest crafting? players can perhaps obtain resources from monsters or from the environment and create equipable or consumable items. This gives the player many freedoms as it enables the player to obtain a certain item in more than one way. Perhaps crafted items, though they may look the same, could differ in stats and abilities. This way, there's diversity that could prevent droll gameplay

Thats a great idea, we could even input a Quality system to support that where if you find low quality resources you can make low quality items with very bad stats, and medium quality makes medium quality items etc.

Nice idea. However, I am not sure if I will be able to make such a potentially big system at this point. I will think of adding a primitive and a simple crafting system or an NPC, but it may not satisfy your expectations.

Also, same items with different stats will not be possible- I am sorry. I may be able to however, provide an upgrade crafts that can change the items into another certain item that is only attainable through such crafting. But again, don't count on this one either...

Kinda off-topic, but yes there will be. We had them since CBT 1! It should not be too hard to revamp and bring back those systems.

Sadly, mining will be taken off until much furthur notice. The mining system in CBT 1&2 were unpopular, and the polls taken for OBT release showed that focusing on integrating a fishing/mining system should come much later.

hey i cant play my demo version of LOF it says i need a better graphics card this is what it said: Failed to create Direct Music Performance, and its asking me to lower resolution

Hm... I have never seen that error before;

What OS are you running,
what is your VGA/Graphics card,
your RAM? Available Hard Drive space?
etc.

There is a minimum requirement for the program, although I'm not really sure exactly where that borderline is. For now (for immediate solutions), you might attempt raiising your screen resolution. Otherwise, your computer may not be able to run LoF, or the game program is just glitchy- which I'll seek out to solve asap. The funny thing is, there were no audio's in the systems demo...

EDIT: ah, windows server 2000. That itself should not be a problem in running the game. I'm guessing it's a problem with the resolution or the memory then.

No graphics card? Not even integrated?

Sorry, I cannot help you much without the information on RAM.
The game will not run on ubuntu (although there maybe ways to get around it, which is unlikely).

Here's an Idea, Event items, such as if its a players birth day, they get a Party Hat in their inventory, and a Present, the Present can contain anything good for their level ( Such as for level 1's give them level 1 gear and such ) but sometimes they could get Special Drinks or Secret items.

I like that idea, but I'm not so sure- that means we have to collect private data from the players upon their sign-up. Well, I'm sure almost all games do collect at least their players' birthdays, but without a separate server to handle and store just player/account information (which would involve sign ups on sites and purchasing a host online...), I'd rather not go that far. Still, it's a great idea- it's easy to involve those kinds of rewards through events or even just periodic time intervals as you mentioned (maybe like each month from character creation date).
